You can put up to $25,000 in your Wildcard account, and split it between separate accounts for expenses, spending and savings.

Interest on all your money

Starting September 12, we'll refund you Mastercard's FX fee and start paying interest. The new PDS is available here.

FAQs

1

What is Wildcard?

We’re an independent startup with an Australian Financial Services Licence (503801).

2

Is Wildcard safe?

Apart from having an Australian Financial Services Licence, our cards are issued by EML Payments, a global payments company that processes billions in payments annually. They hold your funds in a segregated monies account at ANZ Bank.

3

Can I use Wildcard with Apple Pay?

You sure can! When you sign up, you’ll be able to add your card to Apple Pay in the Wildcard app. You can make payments with Apple Pay even before your physical Mastercard arrives.

4

Do you have an Android app?

Our Android app will be ready to download soon - sign up and we’ll put you on our waitlist.

5

How does Wildcard make money?

We earn a rebate on our fees from our card issuer based on the amount of money across all our accounts. That means that unlike a bank that makes money when you get into debt, we make money when you save money. It’s win-win.

6

When I buy something, which account will the money come out of?

Most card purchases will come out of your Spending Account by default. If you add any bills to Wildcard, or set up a recurring transfer, they’ll come out of your Expenses Account instead. You can change which account a transaction comes out of by tapping on it.

If you want more information, everything’s in our Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide. If you decide Wildcard isn’t for you, message us and we’ll close your account. No hard feelings.
